Saturdays, 8:00-Midnight...

Join Moe and three other road warriors for a change of pace when the Midnight Special band appears at the historic Walking Horse Hotel in Wartrace, TN on most Saturday nights, 8:00-midnight.

The combined repertoire of these seriously talented and tight musicians covers blues and country to classic rock, and draws fans from miles around to the newly-rejuvenated landmark. And don’t be surprised at a jazz tune or two!

If you plan to go, email Moe first to make sure Moe is playing on that particular Saturday.

Built in 1917 and still the only three-story building in this tiny town, the Walking Horse has been lovingly restored to elegant period style by Midnight Special drummer and hotel owner, Joe Peters. The Chais Music Hall, dedicated to Peters’ late wife, is a remarkable listening and dancing venue – rosewood floors add to the superb acoustics, along with a sound system to rival any recording studio.

An inspired dinner menu is offered in the Strolling Jim Restaurant, named for the 1939 Tennessee Walking Horse National Grand Champion who lies buried behind this historic hotel.
